OKUMED is an eye centre where we combine medical expertise with advanced technology. Your safety, precise diagnostics and effective treatment of eye disease are our priorities.
The clinic specialises in cataract surgery and refractive lens exchange (RLE). These procedures permanently correct refractive error and free patients from glasses. For many patients they are a better and more complete alternative to laser vision correction, providing stable vision for years.
We run a dedicated laser suite (glaucoma, retinal disease, secondary cataract) and specialise in eyelid surgery. We perform aesthetic and reconstructive procedures, caring for both eye health and the appearance of the eyes.
Procedures are performed in our own operating theatre equipped with a surgical microscope and video system. Diagnostics run on ZEISS and HAAG-STREIT devices – optical biometry, OCT and OCT angiography, corneal topography and perimetry. The laser suite is equipped with an Ellex laser.
Over 1,000 procedures a year. Surgical routine translates into safety and repeatable results.

Anterior segment surgeon
Focuses on cataract surgery and refractive lens exchange (RLE), performing more than 1,000 procedures a year.
Also manages complicated cataract cases, secondary lens implantation and glaucoma surgery.
Eyelid surgery and oculoplastics
Covers the full spectrum of eyelid surgery, from upper blepharoplasty to eyelid cancer surgery with skin grafting.
Runs lens-selection consultations before cataract and RLE surgery, based on advanced biometry and aberration analysis.
